Inline images cause memory overflow

Description (last modified by thomas.daeppen)

If inline images are used (using data URLs), the page history can get quite huge. This is a problem as soon as a page is reverted (which is done each time a page is stored).

This causes a memory overflow since all logs are loaded.

The solution in v5 is an extension to the WYSIWYG-Editor that automatically converts inline-images into regular file-images. The extension is based on the new Wysiwyg, MediaSource? and MediaBroser? component. Therefore, we're unable to provide a hotfix for v4 or older.

This could be solved by moving inline images to file system.
